Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Builds Pedestrian Bridges Ahead of Arbaeen

The Outer Courtyard Care and Protection Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the start of construction on steel pedestrian bridges in the area between the Two Holy Shrines as part of preparations to receive pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

Speaking to the official website, the head of the Outer Courtyard Care and Protection Department, Mohammed Al-Fatlawi, said, "The Outer Courtyard Care and Protection Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has begun constructing steel pedestrian bridges in the area between the Two Holy Shrines as part of preparations to receive pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage."

He explained that "work on the construction and installation of the steel pedestrian bridges in the area between the Two Holy Shrines is ongoing. The department is responsible for securing the work site, facilitating the entry of vehicles and machinery, and providing the necessary requirements to ensure the smooth implementation and timely completion of the project."

He added that "these preparations coincide with the approaching Arbaeen pilgrimage and form part of broader efforts to improve the flow of pilgrims and organize their movement, particularly during the passage of mourning processions throughout the million-strong pilgrimage."

He continued that "the project aims to provide greater comfort for pilgrims while ensuring smoother and more organized movement, improving the speed of pedestrian flow, and regulating designated routes, particularly during the passage of mourning processions, thereby facilitating movement and reducing congestion."

The administration of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its various departments, continues to implement comprehensive plans for the Arbaeen pilgrimage by providing all necessary services and requirements for the comfort of pilgrims, in coordination with the relevant service departments.
