The Women’s Relations Division at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the participation of (1650) staff members and volunteers in providing various services during the observance of the Day of Tarwiyah, the Day of Arafah, and the days of Eid Al-Adha, coinciding with the arrival of pilgrims to the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in Holy Karbala.
The head of the division, Burkan Ahmed, said in a statement to the official website that “female staff members and volunteers have begun providing a range of services to pilgrims as part of a service plan aimed at supporting the efforts made during the pilgrimage and securing the needs of visitors arriving in Karbala during this religious occasion.”
She explained that “the plan included the participation of (750) staff members in addition to (900) volunteers from various Iraqi governorates.”
She added that “the services covered organizational, service, health, and guidance aspects, contributing to facilitating the movement of pilgrims and providing the best conditions for performing the spiritual rituals in a safe and organized atmosphere.”
She continued that “the plan included assigning (100) volunteers to the Hussaini camp and allocating (30) volunteers to the Imam Hussain (P) Service Complex, in addition to involving specialized staff that included (30) female doctors and (10) translators to support medical and communication services, while the remaining staff of approximately (700) volunteers were distributed across the departments and units affiliated with the Zainabiyat Division.”
These efforts come as part of an integrated service plan implemented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine during mass pilgrimage seasons, with the aim of providing the best services to pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in Holy Karbala.
