Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Launches Free One-Year Home Healthcare Initiative for Orphans and Families of Martyrs

Salamtak Home Healthcare Center, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has launched a humanitarian initiative to provide free home healthcare services for a full year to orphans and the families of martyrs and the wounded. The program aims to strengthen healthcare and social support for the most vulnerable groups in Karbala Governorate.

The director of the center, Dr. Mohammed Hamza, said in a statement to the official website that “Salamtak Home Healthcare Center, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, launched a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting orphans at Noor Al-Hassan Charitable Foundation, in addition to beneficiaries of the Department for the Care of Families of Martyrs and the Wounded at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the provision of comprehensive home healthcare services.”

He explained that “the initiative comes within the humanitarian and service programs adopted by the center to support deserving social groups and provide home healthcare for orphans and the families of martyrs and the wounded, contributing to easing their health and living burdens.”

He added that “the initiative includes granting beneficiaries a special service card designed for this purpose, allowing them to benefit from free home healthcare services for one full year, funded by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.”

He further stated that “the services provided include wound and surgical dressing, intravenous and intramuscular injections, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring, blood collection, intravenous fluid administration, care for stroke patients and special cases, in addition to patient follow-up inside homes by specialized medical and nursing staff.”

He stressed that “this initiative comes in line with the humanitarian approach adopted by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in caring for the most vulnerable groups and providing them with healthcare and social services according to the highest standards of care.”

It is worth noting that the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues, through its institutions and health and humanitarian centers, to implement community initiatives aimed at supporting low-income families, orphans, and the families of martyrs and the wounded, in a way that strengthens the values of social solidarity and humanitarian care.
