The Warith International Cancer Institute, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the launch of a specialized training program in molecular techniques, described as the first of its kind in Iraq.
In a statement obtained by the official website, the institute said that “Warith International Cancer Institute, in cooperation with Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences, both affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announce the launch of a specialized training program in molecular techniques.” The statement noted that “the program is the first of its kind nationwide and aims to develop practical skills and supply medical laboratories with advanced expertise in the field of molecular diagnostics.”
The statement explained that the program focuses on hands-on, applied training using the latest approved technologies. It includes advanced modules in DNA extraction, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and Gel Electrophoresis, under the supervision of experienced academic and specialized staff, and within laboratories equipped according to modern scientific standards.
It added that the program is scheduled to begin at the start of next month, noting that participants will receive, upon completion, a joint certificate accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, contributing to the enhancement of their academic and professional careers.
The statement also indicated that the number of seats is limited to six trainees only, in order to ensure high-quality training and effective outcomes, with admission contingent upon passing a specialized interview.
This program comes as part of the efforts of Warith International Cancer Institute, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, to support applied medical education and keep pace with modern scientific developments in the field of molecular techniques.
