Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Discusses International Outreach of Terrorism Encyclopedia

The Director of the Bayina Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Ali Al-Quraawi, accompanied by the Shrine’s Adviser for Foreign Relations, Dr. Khalil Al-Tayyar, visited the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Baghdad. They were received by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi.

During the meeting, discussions and consultations were held on mechanisms for disseminating the Encyclopedia Documenting the Terrorism of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, issued by the Bayina Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security, part of the cultural and intellectual publications of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine. The talks also explored the possibility of delivering the encyclopedia to countries around the world through the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a way that contributes to conveying the true picture of the crimes of terrorism suffered by Iraq and enhances international awareness of the scale of the challenges it faced in this regard.

In a statement obtained by the official website, the Center said that “the Director of the Bayina Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security, Sheikh Ali Al-Quraawi, reviewed during the meeting the most prominent achievements of the Bayina Center and its intellectual and cultural files. He also highlighted the importance of this encyclopedia as a solid documentary work that exposes the ideology and crimes of terrorist groups, and strengthens international awareness of the dangers of extremism through scientific documentation and cognitive analysis.”

The statement added that “the Director of the Center emphasized to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that this project represents an important national effort that Iraq needs at this sensitive stage, given its effective role in consolidating a culture of peaceful coexistence among members of society and confronting extremist ideas through thought, knowledge, and documentation, away from emotional rhetoric.”

According to the statement, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and the Bayina Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security in this field, stressing the importance of joint cooperation in highlighting Iraq’s suffering and achievements in confronting terrorism before the international community, in a manner that contributes to supporting peace and security at both the local and international levels.
