As part of the Kawthar al-Ismah Festival activities, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine commemorated the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in Erbil, with broad participation from various sects and religious communities.
Sheikh Ali Al-Qarraawi, the representative of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Kurdistan, stated that “the program included religious and cultural segments. It began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a religious lecture delivered by Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi, in addition to devotional chants. The event concluded with the distribution of gifts to the volunteers of the Erbil Processions Authority, in appreciation of their efforts in serving religious rituals.”
He added that “the occasion was attended by a delegation from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, headed by Hajj Fadil Ouz, underscoring the shrine’s support for such events that promote fraternity and peaceful coexistence among the various components of society.”
