Al-Warith University, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the scale of financial reductions and student support granted for the 2024–2025 academic year up to June 23, 2025. The total support provided has reached approximately 18,000,000,000 Iraqi dinars.
Hussein Hamed Al-Mousawi, Head of the Media and Government Communication Department, told the official website that “under the patronage of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, and in support of the university’s educational mission, while considering current economic conditions, Al-Warith University announces the size of financial reductions and support offered to students for the 2024–2025 academic year up to June 23, 2025.” He noted that “the total support provided amounted to nearly 18,000,000,000 Iraqi dinars.”
He explained that “these funds were allocated to support university students across multiple categories, including reductions approved by the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, as well as support for siblings, employees of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine enrolled at the university, top-ranking students, Qur’an memorizers, families of martyrs, and low-income households.”
Al-Mousawi affirmed that “the university continues to provide all forms of academic and financial assistance to students, reflecting its pioneering role in serving society and enhancing the quality of the educational process.”
This financial support, provided under the patronage of Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, reinforces the university’s leading role in serving the community, advancing the educational system, and ensuring that students can continue their academic journey efficiently and with ease.
