Karbala Hosts the Opening of the Fourth International Scientific Conference on Clinical Biochemistry

The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine witnessed on Wednesday, in the Khatam Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) Hall, the launch of the Fourth International Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Society for Clinical Biochemistry, held under the theme: “Applied Sciences: Toward a Safe Environment with Modern Technologies.” The event brought together distinguished professors and researchers from inside and outside Iraq, along with specialists in clinical biochemistry and medical sciences.

Dr. Khalida Saleh, President of the Iraqi Society for Clinical Biochemistry, said that “the conference represents a continuation of the scientific journey initiated through three previous conferences. Its aim is to gather scientists and researchers to present the latest studies and findings, and to create a space for exchanging ideas and expertise.” She affirmed that “the conference will open new avenues for joint scientific cooperation with the Imam Hussain Shrine in an effort to produce solid medical research that benefits society.”

She added that “the advancements in the medical field and diagnostic analyses make such scientific events essential, as they address topics that contribute to improving health services. The conference attracted participants from various Iraqi provinces and from abroad, with the goal of sharing expertise and developing recommendations that serve Iraqi society.”

Dr. Saleh further explained that “the program includes morning and evening scientific sessions, featuring specialized lectures on vaccine development, nutrition and calorie reduction, disease diagnosis, and more, in addition to addressing the role of clinical pharmacists within the healthcare system.”
