The Technical Education Authority of the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine took part in the International Universities and Professions Exhibition (GUIDE 2030), held in the capital, Baghdad. The participation came in response to an official invitation extended by the exhibition’s organizing committee.
According to a statement from the Authority, “The Technical Education Authority of the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine participated in the activities of the International Universities and Professions Exhibition (GUIDE 2030), held in Baghdad.”
The statement added that the participation reflects the Authority’s vision of enhancing the academic and technical presence of the Shrine’s institutions and highlighting their pioneering role in advancing applied education and engineering innovation in Iraq.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Education, Professor Adnan Al-Sarraj, in the presence of a group of academic and administrative figures, as well as representatives from universities and educational institutions.
The Authority’s pavilion stood out by showcasing a variety of projects, robots, and smart systems developed by its students and staff. These included humanoid and quadruped robots, a robotic arm, a drone, and advanced artificial intelligence projects, capturing the attention of visitors and participating delegations from universities, ministries, and schools.
During his visit to the pavilion, the Advisor to the Prime Minister praised the achievements and technical innovations on display, commending the efforts of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in supporting scientific talent and youth capabilities.
The exhibition’s CEO, Mr. Hussein Shihab Abdulrazzaq, stated that the Authority’s participation represented a valuable addition, reflecting the level of progress in technical education within the institutions of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
The participation of the Technical Education Authority marks an important step in its efforts to link educational outcomes with labor market needs and to promote applied innovation in line with development goals and the support of young Iraqi competencies.
