Meeting of Holy Shrine Secretaries Held in Najaf

The Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, Mr. Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, took part in a meeting hosted at the sacred courtyard of the Imam Ali Shrine in Najaf. The gathering brought together the secretaries-general of Iraq’s holy shrines as part of efforts to enhance communication and coordination among them.

The Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain stated that “the holy shrines form a unified body and a single approach under the guidance of the supreme religious authority in Najaf.”

He further explained that “such meetings leave a positive impact on developing joint work and reflect the spirit of blessed cooperation in serving the pilgrims, especially during the million-visitor occasions.”

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, Sayyid Issa Al-Kharsan, remarked that “the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) represents the fatherly position for all shrines and the lovers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).”

He emphasized that “this meeting reflects the spirit of affection and unity among the secretaries-general and the servants of the holy shrines, and serves as a starting point for offering the highest levels of service to pilgrims on all fronts.”

The meeting also witnessed an exchange of views among the secretaries-general of the holy shrines of Imam Hussain, Al-Abbas, Imam Ali, Al-Kadhimayn, and Al-Askari. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination in service and administrative fields, as well as developing operational mechanisms that enhance the experience of pilgrims and contribute to advancing the overall status of the holy shrines.
