Ali El-Akber Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces of Imam Hussein Shrine reported that they advanced into En-Noor Quarter in Tal Afar and took over the downtown.
The brigade – with the support of division 37, Iraqi army – has destroyed the front line of ISIS. The brigade then advanced 600 meters into the quarter and eliminated 31 ISIS militants including 5 suicide bombers, and destroyed 2 vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices.
The media war stated that in the next hours, En-Noor Quarter will be completely recaptured. It also reported that the brigade took over a location ISIS had used for training.
