Most expensive piece of covering cloth gifted to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him)

A piece of covering cloth, inlaid with pieces of gold: silver: and some scarce gems, has been gifted to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).

It took 5 years of continuous work and in different countries, such as Syria; Egypt; Kuwait; and Lebanon, said, Abbas Hashim Al-Booshqeh, supervisor of the project.

It is the most expensive piece of covering cloth that has ever been gifted to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) to be set onto the lattice-enclosed tomb. Not only is it the first covering cloth, but it is the second one, and this time it has been gifted in the name of Lady Khedeejeh, (Peace Be Upon Her).

It was funded by 10 persons and made by 12 others, in the Arab Republic of Egypt, who did most of the work, except for the process of inlaying the gems into it that had to be done at Es-Sejjad warehouse of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.
