Bosnian Archbishop: Imam Hussein Voice Resonant For All Muslims Around the World

On the occasion of the anniversary birthday of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon him), the Bosnian archbishop Matozovikish, on behalf of the archbishop of Bosnia and Hersek, cardinal Politsh, delivered a speech in the 11th Global Cultural Conference of Martyrdom Spring in which he mentioned that he was a guest to Iraq, who came from countries ruled by seculars, imposed Atheism to be taught in schools, and treated religious people as a second class in their society.

He also said, “Unfortunately, the American invasion toppled the dictatorial government in Iraq, and the consequences of that removal were disturbing peace politically.”

He said further, “We are so happy that Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has been renewed and maintained outstandingly where tyrants attempted to remove it. But the voice of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) has been resonant for all Muslims around the world, inspiring and representing obligation to social equilibrium, faith in social work motives, and avoiding violence.”

He also said that he attended the conference on behalf of the pope Francis, who could not come due to preparing to receive people who would visit him on the 6th of June 2015.

He mentioned further that the pope Francis sent him on a special occasion which is the Year of Mercy, which is going to be held under the title of, “The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful is Allah the Omnipotent,” declared by the pope in the current year which coincides with the conference being held under the title of, “Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) is the Divine Mercy and Human Call”.

He highlighted a very important point that Muslims and Catholics, as believers, need the mercy of Allah, and therefore they both should be praying for that as the pope is.
