The Electronic Media Division of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has received 150,000 requests for offering pilgrimage by proxy to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) on the tenth day of Muharam. The names of the applicants have been sent to specialized employees in the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, by whom the pilgrimage has been offered, and then put inside the lattice-enclosed tomb of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). Wela' Es-Safar, the head of the Electronic Media Division of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has stated that since 2013 and until 2014 the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine received 18,100,597 requests for offering pilgrimage by proxy to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) from the adorers of Ahlu-Bayt from around the globe.
