Es-Safi: Security Agencies Must Do Its Best To Preserve People's Live And Provide Support For The Military

Oct. 24, 2014. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, His Eminence Sayyed Ahmed Es-Safi mentioned two important points: First: Along with the security challenges facing the country, other challenges in terms of services still exist. For this reason, in order to develop our homeland, a plan must be put forward to make use of the resources that this great country sustains. Second, The month of Muharram is nearby, and it is where believers from around the globe commemorate the rituals of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) by visiting the Holy Shrine. However, with the current circumstances of the country, it is important to emphasize a few points: First: Commemorating the rituals of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) is one of the emphasized actions by Ahlul-Bait. For this reason, the dear pilgrims have to be very cautious and aware of any potential threat from the terrorist groups. Hence, the security agencies must make use of all its strength to preserve the lives of the dear pilgrims. Second: A few of the volunteers are accustomed every year to commemorate the rituals of Ashura in their hometowns, yet they are on the battlefields fighting terrorism and defending their land. There is no doubt that by them bearing the national, religious, moral, and historical duty, they are not distant from the customs they are used to. As a matter of fact, it will give them courage, equanimity, and the strength on the battlefields. Third: We have heard in the past few days about the achieved victories in many areas around the country. However, in order for the continuation of these victories, the government must provide all kind of support and supplies for the military and volunteers. Translated By: Ahmed Ali
