The head of the Electronic Media Division of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Mr. Wela' Es-Seffar, stated that 18,100,597 people, from all over the world, applied for offering pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) by proxy since 2013 to 2014. He also said that more than 1900 requests were received by the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, applying for offering pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) at the 41th night of Sha'ban month; the night at which the Awaited Imam El-Mehdi, (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance) was born. He said further that the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine is always connected with all people via the official website and facebook to received requests and answer the questions.
