Imam Hussein & El-Ebbas Holy Shrines Partake in the First World Islamic Conference in Basra

The Imam Hussein and the El-Abbas Holy Shrines have participated in the First World Islamic Conference in Basra, Iraq including the Imam Ali, El-Kadhimain, and El-Eskari Holy Shrines. In addition, clerics and representatives of different Islamic denominations also partook along with members of numerous European, African, Middle Eastern, and South Asian countries. The reason behind this conference was to express and examine the lifestyle and teachings of Imam Ali, (PBUH) and to discuss the aspect of respect and the appropriate way of interaction with one another, in a way that pleases the Almighty Allah. Accordingly, strengthening the foundation of Islam was also a key point that was discussed. Aba Thar, a Sheik from Thailand stated that the conference was a clear message to the extremists, fundamentalists, and terrorists that seek to defame the view of Islam due to their immoral thoughts. He also stated that through the conference, many Islamic denominations and Muslims would unite due to the awareness it brought forward. By: As'ad Es-Sereah - BasrahTranslated by: Ahmed Ali
