The preparatory committee for the First International Quran Conference is still preparing a special scheduled and studying plans and suggestions that help to succeed the conference. A series of meetings have been being held between the Deputy Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and the heads of the departments of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in order to come up with the best activities. The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has already sent invitations to many remarkable figures from inside and outside of Iraq to attend the conference. The committee laid out some rules for the participation such as1. scientific standards should be adopted in the research.2. the research should not have been published in any periodicals, newspapers, or books inside or outside of Iraq, or even delivered at any conference. 3. any research should not exceed 20 pages.4. the research should be written in Arabic on A4 papers, and a summary of the research should be written in Arabic and in English and then be sent as papers with a CD including a Word file of the research. The size of the font should be 16. The deadline will be from May 1, 2014 to June 15, 2014. A copy of the passport of the accepted person should be sent once he is notified. All the expenses of visa, travelling, and accommodation will be afforded by the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. Translated by: Mohammed Jasim
