Nov 29, 2013. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, his eminence Sheikh Abdul Mehdi El-Kerbala'i mentioned the recent great amount of rain in Iraq and the damages it caused to so many people, while many areas still flooded. He also called the responsible authorities for adopting all the necessary procedures in terms or compensating the rain-damaged people, in addition to lay out the scientific solutions to prevent such events. He then clarified that there was a big abstention from voting this election due to running the same candidates that were run last time. His eminence addressed the political parties and recommended them to run those whom are qualified in order to make radical changes that all Iraqi people are seeking. he said further that the more eligible candidates elected, the more opportunities Iraqi people should have. He then added that a candidate cannot operate on his own but within the limits of his political part. He also called all people for electing the most trustworthy, integrate, and qualified candidates, especially those who do not adopt patronage. His eminence concluded by calling all Iraqi people for participating in the elections in order to reach the best levels possible, and we might see that there were many peoples who went through Force majeure and then stabilized their countries after years of struggling.
