Delegation of academic and converted into righteous Muslims from the U.S. visit the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in October

Ali Arian, the second Arab and first Iraqi to attain membership in Amnesty International, has taken an active role in spreading the knowledge of Ahlulbait (Peace and Allah's Blessings Be Upon Them) in the United States of America. All of his remarkable efforts have paid off. In October, 2013, he will lead a delegation from America, consisting of academicians who have embraced Islam and, particularly, Shiism.Arian has met with the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mehdi El-Kerbala'i, and discussed facilitating the delegation's arrival to Iraq. The delegation will tour the Holy Shrines in Iraq, beginning with the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.The members of the delegation are all active in spreading Islam, including the story of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) and the the knowledge of Ahlulbait (Peace Be Upon Them), in the United States of America.The delegation comprises many distinguished individuals, including:-Mohammed Sheheed, a secretary of the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. Shaheed, embraced Islam four years ago and is described by Arian as one of Obama’s close friends. Shaheed followed Sunnism but then turned to Shiisim, the Ahlulbait's (Peace Be Upon Them) faith, at which time he changed his name. He is known for his founding of the Ja'ferian Youth Assembly and other Islamic activities.-Sheikh Mujahid. Originally of Africa but now an American citizen, Mujahid has traveled to Iran, studied the knowledge of Ahlulbait (Peace be upon them), and founded a mosque in Los Angeles, California, where he has taught many Americans about Islam. a recently-retired Navy officer, who currently teaches psychology at the Navy, has embraced Islam.-Kristin Helix. Helix is a history professor has embraced Islam and the knowledge of Ahlulbait (Peace Be Upon Them). She is a very pious woman, who wears an abaya in the course of her work at the university. She has a fine reputation for sharing Islam and the knowledge of Ahlulbait (Peace Be Upon Them).According to Arian, Sheikh El-Kerbala'i has offered to pay all of the delegates’ travel expenses, including plane tickets, accommodations, and transportation within Iraq. The delegation is pleased and grateful for his generosity.Arian was admitted to Amnesty International because of his humanitarian work among the Iraqi prisoners of the ex-regime. He is now working with Bahrainian citizens, prisoners, in particular.Arian has called for the founding of an educational center for the distribution of Husseinian knowledge.
