Sayed EL-Safy calls the government for easing the status quo of Iraq & creating the environment to invest inside the country

Mar 29, 2013, Second part of the Friday sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the supreme religious authority and the preacher of the Friday sermon in Kerbala city, his Eminence Sayed Ahmed EL-Safy mentioned two very important matters, the first one that the country passed through ten years, and Iraqis should learn something from this experience in order to learn what we had missed and correct them in the future towards building a better country. His eminence said that “We need to be aware of what happened such as disputes, and did we improve our internal relationship? Did we work together? Did we ever try to solve our major problems? As we know, the relationship of Iraqi people is good now and that must be maintained always. Also said further, “The second matter is that we need to know what is going on in our country nowadays; and all the politicians have to drastically reconsider the status quo of Iraq. So, each Christian should live peacefully with the Muslims and vice versa; the same thing with Muslims denominations, each denomination should live peacefully with the other, like Sunny and Shiite. He concluded by saying, “So many rich people are nowadays investing outside of Iraq, we might ask why, but it is apparently said that it is better to invest outside of the country seeking more benefit, but we need not to forget that we should at least serve our country as possible, also, we need to know how we make that amount of funds and how we would invest them, in what field. We should be aware that we are all united by humanity, and we ought to cooperate to reach the best levels of service and peaceful coexistence.” By: Mohammed Jasim
