Haj Ali Kadhum Sultan, the head of the Media Department of the Imam Hussein holy shrine has stated that managerial, technical & logistic preparations to receive Ninth International Martyrdom Festival have been being made. So many invitations sent to the participants, attendees including scholars, politicians, intellectuals, artists, educationists & socialists, in addition to researchers in different fields such as ideology & sociology as well as representatives of religious authorities from all over the world. He also said, "We hope the festival would be more distinctive for having many countries participating in. There would be a competition for the documentary movie about Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h), in addition to some Quranic evening ceremonies." Sultan concluded by saying, "There will be a great book fair which we hope to be one of the best activities in the festival."As it's commonly known, the festival annually held as a commemoration of the auspicious Birthday of Grandson of Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h) Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h). The focus of the festival is to promulgate and instill the culture and intellect of Ahlulbait (p.b.u.t) in the people who would really love to imitate them and follow them, at the same time, we are trying to inform the peoples of the story and great path of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h).
