Millions of pilgrims Commemorate Night Before Fortieth-Day Pilgrimage

Once Sufar, the great month, began, millions of the adorers of Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them) from all over the world began to come on the Fortieth pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) to practice the rituals that are deemed to be a trait of every faithful believer's.Approaching the twentieth day of Sufar month, which marks the fortieth day passsed for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), the number of pilgrims is increasing during the time being until it reaches the climax on the last night right before the fortieth-day pilgrimage. This pilgrimage is also called the "Returning of the decapitated heads of Imam Hussein, his family and his companions (Peace Be Upon Them)" because the head of Imam Hussein and the heads of those who had been martyred with him had been taken on the tips of spears and then had been returned to Kerbala on the fortieth day, which is known as the "Arba'een," and interred with their bodies.
