The Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Specialized Medical Complex, affiliated with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, received a group of orphaned children who are students at the shrine’s schools. The initiative aims to deliver comprehensive healthcare, carry out necessary medical examinations, dispense medications, and provide specialized follow-up care tailored to their health needs.
Speaking to the Official Website, the Director of the Complex, Dr. Ala'a Abdul Rahman, stated, "The complex welcomed a group of orphaned children and subjected them to thorough medical examinations under the supervision of specialized staff across pediatric, nutrition, and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) clinics, as well as ophthalmology, psychotherapy, and speech therapy clinics, in order to assess their health conditions and identify their treatment needs."
He explained that "the medical staff made sure to follow up on cases requiring extra care, referring conditions that demand specialized attention to the relevant hospitals to complete their treatment stages and receive appropriate medical care."
He added that "the initiative was not limited to medical aspects, but also included presenting gifts to the children to bring joy and happiness to their hearts, while boosting their sense of care and providing psychological and emotional support."
This initiative falls within the humanitarian efforts undertaken by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through its health and educational institutions to offer healthcare and social support to orphans and address their needs, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
