The Al-Sibt Specialized Center for Scientific Research and Publishing, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the Research and Development Department, has officially approved both the "Science for All" platform and magazine. They have been included within the requirements for academic promotions, with this accreditation circulated to public and private Iraqi universities, the Scientific Research Council, and the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations.
In a statement received by the Official Site, the center stated that this accreditation represents an important academic step that enhances the presence of scientific output in serving society. It enables professors, researchers, and postgraduate students to benefit from the platform and magazine in fulfilling a number of academic promotion requirements.
The center added that this approval comes in accordance with Academic Promotions Instructions No. (10) of 2025, Schedule No. (2), particularly regarding scientific articles and scholarly works that contribute to addressing societal issues and phenomena, as well as disseminating scientific knowledge among various segments of society.
It explained that the accreditation includes counting general scientific articles published on the platform and in the magazine under Paragraph (7), which pertains to general scientific articles published in approved non-peer-reviewed platforms or magazines.
The center noted that scientific outputs focusing on addressing problems and phenomena in Iraqi society, as well as providing solutions and societal studies, fall under Paragraph (4) of the instructions. This is in addition to contributing to the dissemination of scientific culture, simplifying specialized knowledge, and making it accessible to various groups in society.
Furthermore, the center confirmed that this approval allows the academic community and researchers across various disciplines to publish their intellectual works and scientific articles through the "Science for All" platform and magazine, serving their academic careers and enhancing the impact of academic research in serving society.
The Al-Sibt Specialized Center for Scientific Research and Publishing called on professors, researchers, and postgraduate students to take advantage of this accreditation and publish their scientific and intellectual works via the platform and magazine, strengthening communication between academic institutions and society while consolidating the role of scientific research in community service.
