The Department of Religious Affairs at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Religious Preaching Division, continues its reformative efforts by visiting Al-Amarah Central Prison to monitor the conditions of inmates, review their needs, and follow up on awareness and guidance programs.
The department stated in a statement received by the official website that "the visit falls within the awareness and guidance programs implemented by the Religious Preaching Division, aimed at supporting the path of reform and rehabilitation inside the prison."
It added that "the program includes following up on the reality of the inmates and their needs, as well as providing what contributes to enhancing religious, educational, and instructional aspects to support reform and rehabilitation efforts."
It emphasized that "these visits come as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's attention to humanitarian and reformative programs, and its keenness to offer support and guidance to various segments of society."
This visit is part of a series of preaching and guidance programs and activities implemented by the Religious Preaching Division across various correctional institutions, aimed at promoting religious and moral values, and contributing to supporting inmates and rehabilitating them for positive reintegration into society after serving their sentences.
