Engineering and technical crews in the Engineering and Technical Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine are continuing the execution of a general hospital and an educational simulation hospital project affiliated with the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, designed and built according to modern specifications aligning with international standards for healthcare institutions and medical education.
The project manager, Engineer Mustafa Malik Jaleel, said in an interview with the official website that "the project is being constructed on a land area of 4,400 square meters, alongside designated areas for landscaping, vehicle parking, and dedicated access roads surrounding the hospital from all sides, while the building itself consists of a ground floor and six upper floors."
He added that "the project combines a general hospital encompassing various medical specialties with an educational simulation hospital dedicated to the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, providing an advanced environment for practical medical training and education."
He explained that "the project is being executed in accordance with the highest standards adopted in hospital construction, conforming to global criteria for design, execution, and medical equipment," noting that "the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is keen to engage reputable and accredited companies to supply devices, equipment, and all project requirements in line with quality and specialization standards."
He pointed out that "the establishment of an educational simulation hospital in Holy Karbala Governorate, and at the level of Iraq, represents a qualitative milestone in medical education, an initiative adopted by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine under the direct supervision of the Engineering and Technical Projects Department to support the educational and practical track for medical students."
He concluded that "the project falls within the approach of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine toward developing healthcare and educational infrastructure, as well as enhancing integration between medical and academic institutions through facilities based on modern designs and specialized equipment, thereby elevating the level of health services and medical education in the governorate and Iraq as a whole."
