Sponsored by the General Secretariat of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and supervised by the Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Intellectual and Cultural Division in Nineveh Governorate, the Tal Afar Cultural Forum hosted a poetic and cultural festival coinciding with the birth anniversary of the Prophet. The event took place as part of the annual "Prophet of Mercy Festival" under the banner "The Messenger of Allah Brings Us Together."
Sheikh Khalil Al-Ulayawi, head of al-Sadiq al-Amin Intellectual and Cultural Division, stated that "poetry and literature play a significant role in safeguarding the intellectual and moral heritage of the nation and transmitting the authentic principles of the Islamic message to future generations, in addition to their contribution to strengthening cultural identity and social cohesion."
He explained that "the festival featured the participation of the poet Muhammad Al-Isawi alongside an elite group of poets from the Tal Afar district, who delivered devotional poems commemorating the fragrant biography of the Great Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) and the values of love, mercy, unity, and brotherhood embodied in his message."
Organizing this festival falls within the intellectual and cultural program championed by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine—through its divisions and representations across various Iraqi governorates—to commemorate religious occasions and foster values of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among members of society.
