The Religious Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Intellectual and Cultural Division in Mosul, organized its 8th annual Prophet of Mercy (peace be upon him and his progeny) Festival in the Tal Afar district of Nineveh Governorate, under the slogan "The Messenger of Allah Unites Us," with the participation of several religious and academic figures alongside a gathering of local residents.
In a statement to the Official Website, head of the division Sheikh Khalil Al-Ulyawi said: "The Religious Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Intellectual and Cultural Division in Mosul, hosted its 8th annual Prophet of Mercy (peace be upon him and his progeny) Festival in the Tal Afar district of Nineveh Governorate, under the slogan 'The Messenger of Allah Unites Us,' featuring the participation of a number of religious and academic personalities as well as a crowd of the district's residents."
He explained that the University of Tal Afar hosted the festival's activities, which commenced with a speech on behalf of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine delivered by the head of the Religious Affairs Department, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Safi. In his address, he commemorated the fragrant biography of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) and the lofty values and humanitarian principles it embodied, which contribute to fostering love and unity among Muslims.
He added that the festival encompassed several religious and cultural events, along with speeches by a number of religious and academic figures. These addresses highlighted aspects of the noble prophetic biography, the honored status of the Great Messenger (peace be upon him and his progeny) in the nation's conscience, and his vital role in establishing the values of brotherhood and harmony among members of society.
