The Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding and joint cooperation with the Khorasan Seminary in the Iranian city of Mashhad. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and aims to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation while expanding intellectual exchange between the two sides.
Speaking to the official website, the Head of the Department, Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, said, "The Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, signed a memorandum of understanding and joint cooperation with the Khorasan Seminary in the Iranian city of Mashhad."
He explained that "the memorandum is part of a previously developed strategic plan to enhance academic and cultural engagement with the Khorasan Seminary, contributing to broader cooperation between the scientific and research institutions affiliated with both sides."
He added that "the memorandum covers all centers and divisions affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department, foremost among them the Bayyinah Center for Intellectual Security, the Heritage Revival Center, and the Investigation Division, in addition to the department's other intellectual and cultural centers and divisions, strengthening integration in academic and cultural fields."
He noted that "the provisions of the memorandum include promoting intellectual and cultural exchange between academic and research institutions, exchanging visits and expertise among specialized staff, and sharing academic theses, dissertations, and modern reference materials available in the library of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine with the centers and institutions affiliated with the Khorasan Seminary."
The memorandum comes as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's efforts to strengthen its academic and cultural presence and expand cooperation with seminaries, academic institutions, and research centers inside and outside Iraq, contributing to the exchange of expertise and knowledge and the development of joint academic and intellectual projects.
