In line with the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Hasan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayaji, the staff of the Imam Hussain Hospitality Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine have begun deploying to several border crossings in the provinces of Basra and Maysan to provide logistical support and hospitality services for Arbaeen pilgrims arriving in Iraq.
Head of the Hospitality Department, Adnan Al-Naqeeb, told the official website that "this initiative comes in response to the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Hasan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayaji. Our staff have begun heading to the border crossings to provide various services to pilgrims arriving in Iraq, particularly at the Shalamcheh border crossing in Basra Province."
He explained that "a fully equipped hospitality station has been established at the Shalamcheh border crossing to provide three main meals daily for pilgrims, in addition to distributing juices, cold water, and fruit. These services will continue until the last pilgrim returns home safely."
He added that "the same services are being provided at the Al-Sheeb border crossing in Maysan Province by offering three meals daily, along with cold water, fruit, and juices. These efforts also extend to the Zurbatiyah border crossing through Fatima Al-Zahraa Pilgrims City, with the aim of meeting the needs of pilgrims and serving them throughout their journey to the holy city of Karbala."
These efforts are part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's preparations to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (PBUH) during the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The Hospitality Department is providing a wide range of food and logistical services around the clock (24 hours) to ensure the comfort of pilgrims and support them until they safely return to their homes.
