He explained that "this project is one of the key developments that will bring a significant improvement to the services provided within the university. Each building occupies a ground area of approximately (1,000) square meters, while the total built-up area of each building is nearly (5,300) square meters."
He added that "the first building will be designated as the university presidency headquarters and will include the main office, the offices of the Scientific Assistant and the Administrative Assistant, as well as secretarial offices, meeting halls, and the Student Registration and Accounts departments." He pointed out that "the engineering designs were prepared in accordance with precise standards, including the provision of emergency staircases, internal elevators, and integrated service systems."
He further stated that "structural framework and partitioning works for the first phase are nearing completion, with current efforts focused on completing the connecting bridge between the two buildings after finishing its first lift." He noted that "work is progressing at an increasing pace to complete this phase entirely during the current year, paving the way for the implementation of the second phase and the commencement of its contract to complete the remaining technical requirements."
The project is part of a series of urban development and educational initiatives implemented by the Engineering and Technical Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to enhance the academic environment and support the country's education sector.
