Under the directive of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and Legal Custodian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and under the supervision of Secretary-General Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon. The convoy includes (14) modern ambulances, along with comprehensive medical and healthcare supplies, as part of its humanitarian efforts to support the healthcare sector.
Speaking to the official website, Head of the Media Department, Abbas Al-Khafaji, said, "Under the directive of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and Legal Custodian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and under the supervision of Secretary-General Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has sent a humanitarian relief convoy to the Lebanese people, including (14) modern ambulances, in addition to medical and healthcare supplies."
He explained that "this convoy will not be the last, as the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine will continue preparing and dispatching additional relief convoys carrying medical, healthcare, logistical, and financial assistance in support of the Lebanese people."
He added that "this initiative is part of a series of humanitarian and relief efforts undertaken by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to support affected communities, foremost among them the Lebanese people, alongside the Palestinian and Iranian peoples, as well as the Syrian people."
It is worth noting that, in implementation of the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and Legal Custodian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, the Shrine has previously dispatched numerous humanitarian convoys carrying relief supplies, medical equipment, and healthcare necessities to support those affected and displaced in Iran, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine.
