Al-Zahraa University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the continuation of the second phase of its campus expansion project as part of its efforts to develop infrastructure and provide a comprehensive educational environment.
In a statement obtained by the official website, the university said, "Al-Zahraa University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, continues work on the second phase of its expansion project as part of its efforts to develop infrastructure and provide a comprehensive educational environment."
The statement added that "the project aims to establish modern university facilities that enhance the educational environment while supporting the university's growth and its aspirations for a more advanced academic future."
The project consists of (2) buildings. The first, the central building, comprises (5) floors and is constructed on a land area of (1660) m², with a total built-up area of approximately (8300) m². It is equipped with (5) elevators, in addition to classrooms, medical laboratories, and administrative and service facilities. The second, the side building, consists of (4.5) floors and is built on a land area of approximately (1170) m², with a total built-up area of nearly (5000) m². It includes (2) elevators, as well as classrooms, laboratories, and administrative and service facilities.
The expansion is part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's strategy to advance higher education by developing modern university infrastructure that meets the requirements of the educational process and provides female students with a contemporary academic environment. It also aligns with Al-Zahraa University for Women's continued expansion of its academic programs and preparations to accommodate a growing number of students, while supporting education and scientific research in accordance with the latest standards.
