The Martyrs’ and Wounded Families Care Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the statistics of the services it provided during the month of May, all of which were delivered with full support from the Holy Shrine as part of its ongoing efforts to care for the families of martyrs and the wounded and to meet their various needs.
In a statement obtained by the official website, the department said that "the Martyrs’ and Wounded Families Care Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the statistics of the services it provided during the month of May, which were implemented with full support from the Holy Shrine as part of its continuous efforts to care for the families of martyrs and the wounded and meet their various needs." It noted that "the number of wounded and injured individuals who received care and medical services reached (300) cases through healthcare institutions affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and other medical facilities."
The statement explained that "the medical services provided included conducting and covering the costs of critical and specialized surgical operations, securing medical examinations and consultations, and providing regular medical, laboratory, and radiological assessments. The services also included pharmaceutical support through the purchase and provision of specialized treatments, medications, and the necessary medical supplies for the wounded and injured."
It added that "these efforts come as part of the sustainable humanitarian plans sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, with the aim of ensuring comprehensive healthcare for the wounded."
The Martyrs’ and Wounded Families Care Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to provide full support to the families of martyrs and the wounded through the work of its healthcare unit and its direct and regular follow-up of every injured individual, ensuring the quality of medical services provided in the Shrine’s hospitals and other healthcare institutions, and helping accelerate their full recovery.
