Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Takes Part in 40th Tunis International Book Fair

As part of a comprehensive knowledge-based initiative, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine took part for the first time in the 40th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair, aiming to strengthen its presence in international cultural arenas and to promote the thought of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) along with humanitarian and scientific values.

The head of the Exhibitions Division, Ali Mamitha, stated in an interview with the official website, “The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine marked its first participation in the 40th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair, within a comprehensive knowledge project that seeks to enhance its presence in international cultural spaces and to disseminate the thought of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and humanitarian and scientific values.”

He explained that “our participation in the Tunis International Book Fair represents an important step toward expanding the Shrine’s presence in international cultural forums, through which we aim to deliver our intellectual and humanitarian message to a broader audience.”

He added that “the pavilion features a wide range of diverse publications covering Islamic thought, humanities, and heritage, in addition to the outputs of research centers and institutions affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine,” stressing that “there is a strong commitment to presenting these works in a manner befitting the Arab reader, while also opening avenues for cooperation with cultural institutions.”

He further noted that “this participation witnessed notable media attention, including press coverage and field reports, alongside cultural activities aimed at highlighting the role of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in promoting values of moderation and balance, and in strengthening a cultural identity based on dialogue, openness, and peaceful coexistence.”

This step comes as a civilizational message underscoring the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s pursuit of global engagement, as well as a reflection of its role in building bridges of cultural and spiritual communication among peoples, and in reinforcing a culture of knowledge and learning across various international forums.
