Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the full availability of all requirements and procedures for muscle and nerve biopsy operations within the center, carried out by advanced Iraqi expertise.
The director of the center, Dr. Saleh Al-Jabri, said in a statement to the official website that “Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announces the full provision of all requirements and procedures for muscle and nerve biopsy operations within the center, carried out by advanced Iraqi expertise,” noting that “this step represents a significant medical achievement at the level of Iraq.”
He explained that “the center is now equipped with all necessary capabilities to perform these precise procedures, from tissue extraction to issuing the final report, without the need to send samples abroad.”
He added that “Iraqi medical staff have undergone advanced stages of training and qualification, enabling them to reach a high level of efficiency, which has made it possible to carry out these specialized procedures entirely within the center.”
He pointed out that “muscle and nerve biopsy procedures are considered highly specialized and globally expensive medical interventions; however, the center currently provides them at a very low cost, in line with the vision of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to deliver high-quality healthcare services at affordable prices.”
He stressed that “this development reflects the effective management of the center and the Health and Medical Education Authority in addressing current challenges,” noting that “the next phase will witness an increase in the number of these procedures to meet patients’ needs, especially cases requiring urgent intervention.”
It is worth noting that the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine aims, through such important achievements, to strengthen the capabilities of the local healthcare sector and reduce reliance on external providers for specialized medical procedures.
