The Imam Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the start of performing nerve biopsy procedures for the first time in Iraq, marking an important advancement in the diagnosis of neurological and muscular diseases.
Dr. Saleh Al-Jabri, Director of the center, said in a statement to the official website that “the Imam Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has begun performing nerve biopsy procedures, which are among the precise diagnostic tests that contribute to detecting many neurological diseases.”
He explained that “this step is not limited to performing nerve biopsies alone, but comes within an integrated system of services provided by the center, including accurate diagnosis and the development of appropriate treatment plans for patients.” He noted that “the center operates according to the latest international medical standards.”
He added that “the center includes a select group of highly skilled specialized medical staff, in addition to benefiting from international expertise in the field of neurological and neuromuscular diseases, contributing to the delivery of advanced medical services for patients inside Iraq without the need to travel abroad.”
He stressed that “the launch of this type of advanced medical procedure reflects the center’s commitment to developing its services and expanding its diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities to serve patients and ease their suffering.”
It is worth noting that the Imam Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, is considered one of the advanced specialized medical centers in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases.
