Imam Zain Al-Abidin Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the upcoming launch of a special medical initiative offering free hearing examinations and audiometry tests to mark World Hearing Day. The initiative aims to raise health awareness and support the early diagnosis of hearing problems.
Mustafa Al-Mousawi, the hospital’s media officer, said in remarks to the (official website) that “Imam Zain Al-Abidin Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, will launch a special medical initiative to provide free hearing examinations and audiometry tests on the occasion of World Hearing Day, as part of efforts to enhance health awareness and promote the early detection of hearing problems.”
He explained that “the initiative will include free hearing examinations and audiometry tests for visitors aged (12) years and above,” noting that “the campaign will continue for two days, Sunday and Monday, corresponding to 15–16 March 2026.”
He added that “the hospital’s Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinic will receive patients during morning working hours to conduct the necessary examinations,” calling on citizens to benefit from this health initiative aimed at early detection of hearing problems and providing appropriate medical guidance.
He also pointed out that “registration will be available exclusively through prior booking by calling the short number (5454).”
The initiative will take place at the hospital’s headquarters located in Karbala – Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Waeli Street, as part of the health and humanitarian programs provided by medical institutions affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to serve the community.
