The Childhood Care and Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched its annual Ramadan program, titled (Little Hussain Nights), coinciding with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative aims to make use of the spiritual atmosphere of the blessed month to nurture children’s abilities and strengthen their connection to religious and cultural values.
In a statement to the official website, the head of the Activities Division within the department, Mr. Alaa Al-Ameri, said that “the Childhood Care and Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched its annual Ramadan program titled (Little Hussain Nights) in conjunction with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan,” noting that “the program seeks to benefit from the spiritual environment of the blessed month in developing children’s skills and reinforcing their attachment to religious and cultural values.”
He explained that “the program consists of two main components, combining Qur’anic, educational, and recreational aspects to help build a balanced child personality. The first component includes a Qur’anic program titled (Spring of Hearts), a specialized initiative featuring a Qur’anic gathering and competitions designed for children. It is broadcast every Thursday throughout the holy month, with the aim of encouraging young participants to recite and memorize the Holy Qur’an and to instill its noble concepts in their hearts.”
He added that “the second component includes recreational and educational segments featuring a range of cultural, intellectual, and physical games, designed according to the targeted age groups. These activities aim to motivate children, enhance their mental and physical skills, and promote a spirit of cooperation and positive competition among them.”
He pointed out that “the department ensured the preparation of diverse activities that take into account children’s educational and psychological needs,” affirming that “the program is part of a comprehensive seasonal plan through which the department seeks to build a conscious generation committed to Islamic and humanitarian values.”
The (Little Hussain Nights) program is considered one of the most prominent Ramadan initiatives launched annually by the Childhood Care and Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, reflecting its ongoing commitment to children and its dedication to offering quality initiatives that combine benefit and enjoyment.
