The Strategic Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues work on the Al-Warith Complex for Housing and Social Rehabilitation of Individuals Lacking Care in Karbala, a leading humanitarian and service-oriented project aimed at providing an integrated environment for care and community rehabilitation.
Speaking to the official website, the head of the department, Engineer Mohammed Diaa Mohammed, stated that “the engineering and technical teams within the Strategic Projects Department are proceeding diligently and with sustained efforts to complete the Al-Warith Complex for Housing and Social Rehabilitation of Individuals Lacking Care in Karbala, in accordance with the highest approved technical standards, and in line with the vision of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to establish specialized institutions with humanitarian and developmental dimensions.”
He added that “the project is being constructed on a plot of land measuring (6,552) square meters, with a total built-up area exceeding (17,500) square meters distributed across six floors. The facility is designed to include fully equipped residential wings, computer laboratories, educational halls, vocational training workshops, a central restaurant, as well as sports fields and recreational areas that support psychological and social rehabilitation programs.”
He explained that “the complex has been designed in line with the latest global engineering standards for care institutions to ensure a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates the effective reintegration of beneficiaries into society,” noting that “implementation work is progressing at an accelerated pace, with technical teams achieving advanced completion rates ahead of the planned schedule.”
He affirmed that “the project represents a qualitative addition to the series of humanitarian and service initiatives carried out by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, within the framework of its mission to support the most vulnerable segments of society and to provide sustainable specialized infrastructure that meets the requirements of comprehensive care and rehabilitation.”
