As part of efforts to strengthen communication and reinforce the foundations of peaceful coexistence among Muslim communities, a religious delegation from the city of Gaziantep in southern Turkey paid a visit to the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.

The program coordinator, Sabah Al-Talqani, Director of the Imam Hussein Cultural Center in Turkey, affiliated with the Media Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, stated: “Today, we welcomed a group of religious scholars and students of Arabic language and Islamic sciences from the Turkish city of Gaziantep, headed by Sayyid Mahmoud Al-Rifa’i. They arrived with the purpose of visiting the holy shrines in Karbala and establishing prospects for joint cooperation in reviving the heritage of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), and strengthening the spiritual bond that unites Muslims through loyalty to the Imams of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).”

For his part, Sayyid Mahmoud Al-Rifa’i, head of the delegation, said: “Our honor in visiting Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is a divine blessing and a gift of mercy from Almighty God, because Ahlulbayt are the pillars of the earth and our intercessors in this world and the hereafter. We ask Allah, the Almighty, to grant success to all those who serve this noble shrine, guide their steps, and bless their efforts.” He added, “This visit will mark the beginning of further visits and open new avenues of communication with our brothers at the holy shrines in order to strengthen the noble humanitarian spirit among Muslims, which we are in great need of during these difficult times.”
