The Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Cultural Center in Istanbul held discussions with a group of Turkish pilgrimage campaign leaders to the holy shrines in Iraq, exploring ways the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine could extend available support.
Sabah Al-Talqani, Director of the Center, stated: “We met with several Turkish campaign organizers for pilgrimages to the holy shrines, listening to the challenges they face and discussing possible assistance from the Imam Hussain Shrine in easing visa procedures and other services that could be provided.”
He added: “Most of the obstacles faced by pilgrims relate to obtaining visas, which have shifted to an electronic system described by campaign leaders as inaccurate, ineffective, and lacking interaction or answers to inquiries. In line with the directives of the Shrine’s General Secretariat, it was agreed to help resolve this issue by facilitating visas through the Imam Hussain Shrine. Additionally, we provided clarification on the services available for pilgrims, including rest areas, as well as supplying printed materials, prayer books, and ziyarat texts in Turkish to ensure pilgrims benefit fully from their visit, become better acquainted with the legacy of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), and reaffirm their loyalty by following their path.”
Al-Talqani further explained: “At the conclusion of the meeting, a joint action plan was developed with campaign leaders to organize their work and maintain communication, in service of the followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and to encourage more pilgrims to perform the visitation.”
It is worth noting that the Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Cultural Center in Istanbul, affiliated with the International Media Center of the Shrine’s Media Department, is dedicated to commemorating the occasions of the Pure Imams, cooperating with relevant institutions in Turkey, and offering services that strengthen devotion while introducing the blessed Hussaini movement to diverse segments of Turkish society.
