Safir Imam Hussain Hospital Dispatches Medical Team to Diyala

Under the direction of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, and as part of its ongoing health and humanitarian programs, Safir Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital dispatched a fully integrated medical delegation to Diyala Province. The delegation included a number of specialist physicians and supporting healthcare staff to provide free medical care to citizens.

The hospital’s administrative director, Engineer Abbas Abdul Ali, told the official website that “Safir Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Surgical Hospital sent a comprehensive medical team to Diyala Province as part of its continuous humanitarian programs, under the supervision of specialized medical staff.”

He explained that “this convoy is not the first of its kind, as previous medical delegations were sent to several Iraqi provinces. These visits will continue in line with the hospital’s plan to deliver free medical services to underserved areas.”

He added that “the medical staff provided services that included examinations, diagnosis, and treatment for various medical conditions, in addition to referring a number of cases for surgical procedures to be performed in Karbala at the hospital.”

He emphasized that “the mission of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is not limited to Karbala alone, but extends to all Iraqi provinces, reflecting the humanitarian dimension of its health and service projects.” He further noted that “these medical convoys will continue, with future visits planned for other provinces, and that all services provided by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine are available to patients in need across the country.”

Through its healthcare institutions, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to embody its humanitarian vision by delivering specialized medical services to various regions of Iraq, reaffirming its mission inspired by the principles of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in serving humanity wherever needed.
