In celebration of the blessed Day of the Prophet’s Mission and on the occasion of the National Day of the Holy Qur’an, and under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrine, the Holy Qur’an Department at the shrine held its annual Qur’anic gathering in the arcade of Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib (peace be upon him), within the sacred precincts of the Kadhimiya Courtyard. The event was organized under the slogan, “On Its National Day… We Renew Our Covenant with the Holy Qur’an,” and was attended by a group of scholars, officials from various institutions, and those interested in Qur’anic affairs, in addition to large numbers of visitors to the shrine of the two Imams Al-Jawadayn (peace be upon them).
According to the official website of the Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrine, “the gathering featured recitations by the reciter of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine, Blasim Jalil, and the reciter of the Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrine, Sayyid Qasim Al-Zamili. Their voices resonated with blessed Qur’anic recitations that perfumed the atmosphere of the sacred Kadhimiya Courtyard and filled hearts with serenity and tranquility.”
The website added, “Continuing the atmosphere of this spiritual offering, Sayyid Riyadh Al-Hassani delivered a valuable lecture addressing the mission of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) as part of the ‘Qur’anic Insights’ series, highlighting the dimensions of the message of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and its role in building both the individual and society.”
It further noted that “the gathering concluded with the participation of the Al-Jawadayn Chanting Group, which performed the anthem ‘This Is the Book of Allah,’ followed by a questions-and-answers segment and the distribution of gifts from the blessings of the two Imams Al-Kadhimayn and Al-Jawadayn (peace be upon them), as well as prayers for the hastening of the reappearance of our Master, the Imam of the Age and Time, Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance).”
The website also pointed out that “the General Secretariat of the Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrine continues steadily in its pioneering Qur’anic project, sparing no effort in spreading Qur’anic education and culture and enhancing religious awareness within society, out of firm belief that the Holy Qur’an is the guiding light for all of humanity.”
