The Imam Zain Al-Abidin Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the total value of the medical and therapeutic services it provided during 2025.
The hospital’s media officer, Mustafa Al-Moussawi, told the official website that “The Imam Zain Al-Abidin Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, delivered extensive services to patients during 2025, with total financial expenditure exceeding (6,322,119,000) Iraqi dinars,” noting that “this spending represents free services and discounts.”
He added that “the number of visitors to the outpatient clinics reached (237,942), while inpatient wards and operating departments received (19,296) patients. The hospital laboratory recorded (108,316) patients, and the radiology department received (73,649) visitors, bringing the total number of patients who received services at the hospital to (439,203).”
He further stated that “the hospital’s medical and nursing staff conducted (545,592) laboratory tests and (74,992) radiological examinations of various types, in addition to performing (12,980) major, intermediate, and minor surgical operations, using the latest medical equipment and under the supervision of highly experienced specialized staff.”
He emphasized that “these figures reflect the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s commitment to supporting the healthcare sector, developing its affiliated medical institutions, and advancing the level of services provided in line with modern medical standards.”
The Imam Zain Al-Abidin Teaching Hospital is considered one of the prominent medical institutions affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine. It plays an important therapeutic and educational role and contributes effectively to strengthening the healthcare system and serving the community.
