The Strategic Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of work on the residential project designated for the families of martyrs who responded to the Popular Defense Fatwa. Located along the Karbala–Najaf highway, the project has reached advanced stages of completion.
Engineer Mohammed Diyaa, head of the department, told the official website that “the Strategic Projects Department is maintaining an accelerated pace of work on the residential project implemented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in service of the families of martyrs who answered the Popular Defense Fatwa. The project, situated on the Karbala–Najaf road, has achieved significant progress.”
He explained that “the project is being developed on a land area of 106,000 square meters and includes 316 housing units, each measuring 120 square meters, in addition to the construction of a mosque, schools, a kindergarten, a market, and recreational facilities.” He noted that “the project aims to support these families and ease their burdens.”
It is worth noting that, under the guidance of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and its legal custodian, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine provides a wide range of services to the families of martyrs who responded to the Popular Defense Fatwa. These services include financial assistance, medical care, educational expenses, and the provision of special needs for this segment of society.
