The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) received Mr. Jan Šnidauf, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq, in an official visit during which he was briefed on the shrine’s leading humanitarian, cultural, and community service projects.
In an interview with the official website, Ambassador Šnidauf said, “This is my first visit to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, and I found Karbala to be a beautiful city that inspires pride and joy.”
He added, “I am delighted to visit this blessed site and look forward to strengthening the friendly relations between the Czech Republic and Iraq, particularly since there has already been previous cooperation between Czech companies and the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas in various fields, including the supply of chandeliers and artistic ornaments. The Czech Republic is internationally renowned for its precision craftsmanship in this area.”
The ambassador expressed his aspiration to expand future cultural and humanitarian cooperation, noting that “relations between the two countries can further develop across many areas of mutual interest to serve both nations.”
This visit is part of a series of official meetings and diplomatic visits regularly hosted by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, aimed at highlighting its religious, humanitarian, and cultural role and its contributions to Iraqi society and international cultural exchange.
