The Holy Shrine's Security Department announced the completion of its preparations for the Arafah pilgrimage of Eid al-Adha, revealing that over (3000) volunteers will participate in the security and service plan.
Eng Rasool Abbas Fadala, the head of the department, said in an interview, "Under the direct guidance of the representative of the supreme religious authority Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, the plan of Arafah has been completed in coordination with the local authority."
He added, "We deployed more advanced security cameras, about (1800) modern cameras, with face recognition system to check the suspicious cases or those wanted by the Iraqi judiciary and security services."
It is recorded that Karbala receives a great host of pilgrims annually on Eid Al-Adha from far and wide.
