The Shrine announced the top winners of the al-Siraj International Photography Competition

The Quranic Media Center affiliated with the 'House of Holy Quran' at the Shrine concluded the Al-Siraaj International Photographic Competition with the participation of (150) photographers from (8) countries, which are (Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Oman, and Iran as well as Iraq.) The competition had several activities, including a photo exhibition for the Participated shots, as well as workshops and photography forums, in the presence of many senior Iraqi artists.

The official of the Qur’anic Media Center at the House, Karrar Al-Shammari, said: “ The committee made a primary sorting for the shots that resulted with 50 pictures & 31 photographers, then the 2nd sorting process that resulted with the first three prizes winners who won the competition which are: the 1st was the photographer Mustafa Bashar Al-Sharbaji from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the 2nd was Moayad Hussain Al Yassin from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the 3rd was Basheer Bin Souna from the Republic of Algeria."

Al-Shammari added, "The committee chose two photos and suggested that the media center allocate prizes for its photographers, which are the jury award and the appreciation award, So the 1st prize was won by photographer Omar Hussein Ali, and Moataz Sami al-Amidi got the 2nd, and both of them are Iraqies"
